Greetings from the house of English Cream Golden Retrievers, Love on a Leash. In our home, you will find nothing but love for goldens and we want to share our love for them with you. It all started with my first family golden, Belle, brought into our family when I was in early elementary school. Belle was the perfect example of why goldens make the perfect family dog. Belle was always the pillow to have while watching cartoons, she was the dog to make my childhood jockey dreams come true, and the one who would never hesitate to lay a big slobbery lick all over your face. The love she gave brought so many smiles and laughs to everyone in my family. The memory of Belle inspires ‘Love on a Leash’ to remain as loyal to the breed as they are in return. 

 

Apart from my history with Belle, I love goldens! The thing that I love the most about this breed is their incredible loyalty, superb intelligence, and amazing ability to learn and adapt. I firmly believe golden’s are amongst the most loving and nurturing dogs who would definitely bring joy to your life. Their loyalty is unquestionable and from my personal experience, there’s no mistake that they’re a man’s best friend.

 

We love our family of goldens and taking care of them is not a job, but rather a passion for us.  We are not just breeders, but we raise our dogs with utmost love and affection. They are completely and utterly spoiled. I joke that buying dog toys is like my kryptonite...I just can't help myself sometimes :)  You’ll find that our pups are well-behaved and treated just like family! Let’s just say, our goldens are like our own children, with around the clock care, emergency vet contacts, and everything else that they might need all provided on a silver platter. Talk about living like royalty, right? 

 

Here, at Love on a Leash, we understand the investment of time and energy that this breed requires. We excel at providing an abundance of attention, with ample space for exercise. I too, own a children’s summer day camp where we host approximately 300-350 campers on a 15-acre piece of property each day. The breed thrives here surrounded by the excitement of its daily operations. The pups come to and from camp with me each day. They are well socialized and often get to play with our campers. Occasionally they even get a little pool action when there are no campers in the pool. During our off-season, the pups are home with me as I work out of our home. 

 

The dogs are show-quality and most are imported from around the world, specifically Australia, Serbia, Ukraine and Romania. These dogs are top of the line like their ancestors. The dogs come from championship bloodlines, and their pedigrees stand out. We chose which dogs to breed with intention, selected for their wonderful temperaments, healthy lines, and beauty. Furthermore, all of our goldens are health tested prior to being bred. Each breeding dog is tested by licensed reproductive veterinarians who test for the dog's hips (hip dysplasia), elbows (elbow dysplasia), their heart and eyes. Results are sent to British Veterinary Association (BVA) or Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for approval, making a great foundation for healthy puppies.
